Ola Electric Customer Smashes New Scooter After 90,000 Rupees Service Bill

Everyone is aware of the public outcry against Ola Electric for its extensive record of subpar service and unsatisfied customers, and as time goes on, the situation gets worse and more dramatic, which damages Ola’s reputation.

One such shocking incident involving an Ola electric scooter has gone viral on social media as a result of the recent public outrage. The video shows a man in the middle of a road hammering away at his Ola electric scooter.

Ola Electric Service Controversy Sparks Public Protests – Here is Full Incident

According to the reports, the person wearing a white shirt is a customer of Ola Electric who bought the scooter just one month ago. In retaliation after allegedly receiving 90,000 rupees bills for his new Ola scooter for service from the Ola showroom, he also began smashing his scooter in the middle of the road in front of the dealership.

Reportedly this incident happened in Karnataka and since the electric scooter was new, the consumer was incensed after experiencing an issue with the new scooter and being billed 90,000 rupees to fix it.

Many locals joined him in smashing the electric scooter after he protested, demonstrating the extent of the public outrage that has recently grown against the Ola Electric company.

As on now, the current update on this event is that the guy who hammered the scooter in front of Ola showroom is reportedly arrested by police.

Problem with Ola Electric

This event has also ignited social media users to publicly call out Ola for their bad customer service. From hardware to Software, Ola customers have over the time reported complaints everywhere. After-sales servicing by Ola is also heavily criticized by people as they are unable to fix these complaints in large volume efficiently.

Consumers have reported that scooters have problems with battery and the operating system which holds the key to access several crucial features of scooters. In comparison to the volume of consumer complaints, the company has very few service centres, and clients must wait a very long time to have their scooters fixed.

The repercussions of bad public image and outrage are also seen in the stock prices of Ola.
