On World EV Day, EVFY, a new player in the electric vehicle (EV) solutions sector, has inaugurated its first EV charging station in Delhi NCR. This new facility, located at Sector 73 in Gurgaon, represents the start of a planned expansion that aims to establish 100 charging stations across the region.
The station, situated at The One, Sales Gallery on Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), is equipped with dual gun capability and offers a range of power outputs including 120 kW, 60 kW, and 7.4 kW. This setup is designed to accommodate a variety of EV models, covering two, three, and four-wheelers. The station also features a digital display with RFID technology to enhance user interaction and security.
India’s public EV charging infrastructure has seen substantial growth, rising from 1,800 stations in February 2022 to 16,347 by March 2024. As the market anticipates around 50 million EVs on the road by 2030, the demand for charging stations is expected to increase significantly.
EVFY plans to expand its network to additional regions including Dwarka Expressway, the Airport area, and New Gurgaon. Future installations will include ultra-fast chargers with 150 kW and hyper-fast chargers with 350 kW power outputs.
Mr. Shikhar Yadav, Founder of EVFY, highlighted the company’s goal of accelerating EV adoption in India by developing an integrated ecosystem with innovative charging solutions. He emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing the EV experience and leading the transition to electric mobility.
In addition to the new charging stations, EVFY is set to launch a dedicated app aimed at simplifying access to EV chargers and supporting the broader adoption of electric vehicles.
For further information, EVFY has announced plans to collaborate with EV manufacturers and real estate developers to extend its charging network.
